New Mexico RVing Travel Guide
Even though we grew up in Colorado, we hadn’t spend much time in New Mexico until recently (Fall of 2023). We spent a couple weeks in Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta, and it was amazing! It’s definitely something to add to your bucket list. We took the opportunity to stay in New Mexico a little longer to see White Sands. There’s more we’d like to see (Santa Fe we’re looking at you), so we’ll be back.

Where We Stayed
- Balloon Fiesta Campground. The Balloon Fiesta does have campgrounds, and though we were in one of them, we actually booked through Fulltime Families and were there for their rally. It was so fun and we’d definitely recommend doing it this way if you can.
- Albuquerque KOA Journey
- We stayed a couple times at the Route 66 RV Resort in Albuquerque. It’s a good place to stay as you’re passing through.

Where We Stayed
Roswell
We were just passing through Roswell, so we stayed in the Walmart parking lot for a night and did a little sight seeing in the morning. If you have more times there are museums and all kinds of alien themed activities around town.
